Description
Due to demand we currently have a 3 to 4 day lead time from the time of order on all ZD30 D22 Remaps. We are doing our best to keep up with demand and are always working to reduce this delay. Please bare with us while we fill our orders.
If you would like a more accurate lead time please contact us.
Our Outright option allows you to keep your stock ECU. You’re basically buying an ECU with this option as well as the remapping service.
If you do require your stock ECU please look at purchasing an exchange unit.
The process:
- You purchase the Outright option from our store and enter in your supporting mods during the checkout process. If you have any extra supporting mods that aren’t the standard turbo, exhaust and intercooler there is a custom text box during checkout for you to enter your details. The image to the right shows what you will be presented during checkout. Please ensure each box is filled in.
- We prepare one of our ECUs for you with a tune to suit your supporting mods.
- ECU is sent to you via an Australia Post Express service.
- You fit the remapped ECU following the steps listed on our ZD30 D22 ECU Installation page.
- Once fitted you keep your stock ECU.
Custom Dyno Tuning
We are able to dyno tune your vehicle if you’re local to Albury to get the most out of it which will generally be more than the gains from a mail order tune as our mail order tunes are designed to be conservative/safe for the process. On the dyno we are able to health check your car and tailor a tune to suit.
Furthering our Mail Order Tunes
If you have performance mods that you want to make the most of we can tailor a tune for you. We will continue to develop tunes as required by customer needs. Most likely we already have a Mail Order Tune to suit your performance mods. If you have a certain requirement please feel free to contact us.
Some benefits of our Mail Order ECU Remaps:
- More power and torque which results in:
- Not needing to change down gears as often to maintain speed up hills etc
- Easier/quicker overtaking. “Don’t need as much of a run up”
- Less turbo lag on takeoff
- Easier/nicer towing
- Less stress pulling out onto busy high speed roads
- A more linear and responsive accelerator pedal
- Less ‘throttle lag’ so the accelerator pedal doesn’t feel as ‘doughy’
- Less dead spots so its smoother to drive
- Cruising EGTs are generally lower
- A disabled EGR system (no blocking plate required)
- We can modify the inbuilt glow plug timers if requested. Normally we would turn off post glow so that once the car is started the glow plugs turn off completely. This way they are only used during starting.
Examples of Modifications that will effect the tune:
- Bigger exhaust
- Intercooler
- Non-Stock turbo
- Bigger injectors
- Water-Meth injection
- Intake side (including airbox) on the higher power tunes
- LPG injection
Stage 1 Mail Order Tune
Our Stage 1 Tune was designed to suit a stock vehicle and one with a bigger exhaust such as a 2.5″ or 3.0″ turbo back exhaust system.
Power and Torque Increases:
The dyno graph to the right shows the general gains we see in power and torque from our mail order Stage 1 Remap.
Torque:
Before: Peak Torque of 294Nm at 2700rpm
After: Peak Torque of 418Nm at 2200rpm
Peak increase of 42% or 124Nm and peak torque comes in at 600rpm lower in the rev range.
Power:
Before: Peak power of 69.0kW at 3700rpm
After: Peak power of 86.9kW at 3600rpm
Peak increase of 26% or 17.9kW across the majority of the rev range
Stage 2 Mail Order Tune
Our Stage 2 Tune is designed for cars with the following modifications:
- Aftermarket turbo back exhaust system 2.5 or 3.0 inch
- Aftermarket turbo capable of running 20-21 PSI reliably
- Intercooler. Can be top or front mount. If top mount needs to be a decent installation with a good seal around bonnet scoop.
- Upgraded airbox to allow for more flow (and to take some stress of turbo)
- Boost controller set to 20-21PSI
- Boost cut defender to rescale boost levels that the MAP sensor sees to keep boost cut functionality but rescale it
Power and Torque Increases:
The dyno graph to the right shows the general gains we see in power and torque from our mail order Stage 2 Remap. Unfortunately the dyno was changed between this tune and the stage 1 tune so the power figures aren’t straight forward. This customer was already running the Stage 1 tune so the ‘before’ figures are actually the power gains from stage 1.
The below figures will take into account the percentage gain from Stage 1 and add onto the gains shown in the graph to the right.
Torque:
Before: Peak Torque of 363Nm at 2300rpm
After: Peak Torque of 434Nm at 2000rpm
Peak increase of 19% or 71Nm and peak torque comes in at 300rpm lower in the rev range compared to the Stage 1 remap.
Peak increase from Stock to Stage 2 of 61% with peak torque 900rpm lower in the rev range.
Power:
Before: Peak power of 73.8kW at 3400rpm
After: Peak power of 90.1kW at 3000rpm
Peak increase of 22% or 16.3kW compared to the Stage 1 remap.
Peak increase from Stock to Stage 2 of 48% with peak torque 900rpm lower in the rev range.

- Upgraded airbox to allow for more flow (and to take some stress of turbo)
- Boost controller set to 24PSI
- Boost cut defender to rescale boost levels that the MAP sensor sees to keep boost cut functionality but rescale it
- Bigger injectors +30%

Stage 4 Tune
Our Stage 4 Tune is designed for people that aren’t necessarily looking for a reliable daily but are looking for outright power. We don’t recommend these level of gains this is more to show what the ZD30 Navara is capable of. The gearbox and diffs are not reliable at this power. We have 4 or 5 customers running this setup some as early as 2018.
This tune needs to be verified on the dyno. We can do it locally or you can find a dyno operator local to you to run it up to verify its all okay. We can make changes were required.
- Aftermarket turbo back exhaust system 3.0 inch
- Gturbo G300 turbo (from a ZD30 patrol)
- Large A2A or W2A Intercooler
- Upgraded airbox to allow for more flow (and to take some stress of turbo)
- VNT boost control setup set to 38psi
- Boost cut defender to rescale boost levels that the MAP sensor sees to keep boost cut functionality but rescale it
- Bigger injectors +100%
